Back of Beyond in Dorset is showing how holiday parks can bring people together and create a welcoming environment for everyone. The adults-only camping and glamping park welcomed more than 200 guests to its first Pride Weekend, with three days of live music, entertainment and social activities celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
The idea came from members of the park team and quickly grew into a weekend enjoyed by staying guests and local visitors alike. Highlights included live music, social gatherings and a cabaret performance, all designed to celebrate inclusivity while creating opportunities for people to connect.

Following such a positive response, Back of Beyond has already confirmed that Pride Weekend will return in June 2027. By listening to its team and creating events that help people feel welcome and included, the park is demonstrating the important role holiday parks can play in building connections and a sense of community.

This is part of the #ParksMakePlaces campaign, celebrating how holiday parks support people, places and the planet.
