Rosneath Castle Park brought families, local businesses and community organisations together for a special event designed to provide an affordable and accessible day out, while showcasing the Rosneath Peninsula.
By offering free entry for adults and children under two, the park helped make the event more accessible for families, while encouraging new visitors to discover both Rosneath Castle Park and the surrounding area.
The event welcomed visitors from the local community and further afield, building on the park’s growing profile following its recognition as Caravan Park of the Year at the Scottish Hospitality Awards.
Local businesses and organisations played an important role in the day, with 14 local stallholders taking part alongside emergency services and community groups. Visitors had the opportunity to meet local traders, discover the work of community organisations and support businesses from across the area.

One stallholder also used the event to raise money for the PDSA, adding a charitable element to the celebrations.
Families enjoyed a wide range of activities, including water sports, inflatables, crazy golf and fairground games, alongside food and market stalls throughout the day.
As well as providing an affordable day out, the event helped promote the Rosneath Peninsula as a destination, encouraging visitors to explore the surrounding area and supporting the local economy.
Following the success of the event, Rosneath Castle Park began planning its next community gathering, with the aim of continuing to bring people together and welcome more visitors to the area.
By opening its facilities to the wider community, supporting local traders and creating opportunities for families to enjoy time together, Rosneath Castle Park demonstrated how holiday parks can make a positive contribution to the places they call home.

This is part of the #ParksMakePlaces campaign, celebrating how holiday parks support people, places and the planet.
