West Country holiday parks group honours two superstars

Two top team members at a family-owned West Country holiday parks group, Coast & Country, have been put in the spotlight this summer. Each has been presented with Exceptional Service Award certificates from the British Holiday & Home Parks Association, the park industry’s professional body.

The accolades are the highest honours given out by the association to individuals shown to have made “significant and substantial” contributions to park businesses.

Award-winning holiday park team

The awards go to Nikki Blewett who is office manager at the group’s headquarters in Highbridge, Somerset, and to maintenance team member Kamil Dzwilewski who works at the group’s Yellow Sands park in Brean.

Nikki, a keen equestrian who lives in Yatton, North Somerset, has been with Coast & Country for four years, and has been commended for her exceptional resourcefulness and ability to resolve work-related challenges.

Kamil, whose leisure enthusiasm is quad biking, is praised as an outstanding member of the park’s grounds and maintenance team of which he has been a member for 12 years.

Top-rated West Country holiday parks

The award certificates were presented by Ian James, managing director of Coast & Country which currently operates four top-rated holiday parks in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

“Although we invest substantially in our parks and their facilities, it is ultimately the members of our team which help create guests’ most memorable experiences,” said Ian.

“Whether they are involved behind the scenes or meeting customers on the parks themselves, it’s their friendliness and hospitality which helps make the biggest impression.

“The majority of our bookings come from either repeat visitors or personal recommendations, so I think that underlines just what an important role our teams play,” added Ian.

Family-owned holiday park

He said that this year was shaping up to be the busiest in his family-owned holiday park group’s 33 year history, and that bookings were being received right through to autumn and even 2022.
