At Woodclose Park, protecting the environment and supporting local communities go hand in hand. As part of their David Bellamy Pledge and Cumbria in Bloom work, the park has created a brand-new mini island wetland, helping wildlife thrive and enhancing the local landscape.
Their commitment doesn’t stop at conservation. Each year, Woodclose invests over £60,000 in maintenance and ground works, ensuring the park is well cared for and sustainable for the future. In 2024 alone, they donated £2,500 to local causes, including the Kirkby Lonsdale Disaster Appeal and Save Ruskin’s View. Guest donations on holiday bookings also support the Lake District Foundation, extending the park’s positive impact far beyond its boundaries.
It’s a clear example of how holiday parks can protect nature while giving back to people and places.
This is part of the Parks Make Places campaign, celebrating how holiday parks support people, places and the planet.
