Sandgreen Caravan Park is helping young people in Dumfries and Galloway discover the exciting career opportunities available within the holiday park industry. Earlier this October, the park welcomed pupils from Kirkcudbright Academy for a behind-the-scenes visit, offering a rare look at how an award-winning park operates day to day.
Students gained hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business from moving caravans, learning ground maintenance skills and presenting holiday homes to exploring how customer service and online engagement shape the overall guest experience. They even developed and posted their own social media content, gaining insight into how digital marketing supports the park’s success.

By supporting this local schools initiative, Sandgreen Caravan Park is actively strengthening community links while inspiring the next generation to think big, stay local and feel excited about their future. It’s a powerful example of how holiday parks can help young people build confidence, skills and career ambition.

This is part of the #ParksMakePlaces campaign, celebrating how holiday parks support people, places and the planet.
