River Laver Holiday Park is championing local sport and community spirit by investing in the next generation of cricketing talent. The park proudly supports Seth Watson, an aspiring young cricketer who has represented North Yorkshire for the past five years, helping him continue his development and pursue his sporting ambitions.
Their commitment goes even further. River Laver has contributed £5,000 towards new cricket nets at Studley Cricket Club, an important upgrade set to be completed before the 2026 season. Recognising the wider community benefit, the park is also rallying support from other local businesses to help eliminate the need for a loan, ensuring the club can focus its resources on nurturing future cricket stars rather than managing financial burdens.
It’s a powerful example of how holiday parks can support grassroots sport, boost wellbeing and strengthen the heart of their communities, all while creating opportunities for young people to thrive.
This is part of the #ParksMakePlaces campaign, celebrating how holiday parks support people, places and the planet.
