Park gains as Hastings becomes holiday hot-spot

Beauport Holiday Park: enquiries from leisure home buyers have risen as Hastings sees popularity grow

The owners of Beauport Holiday Park near Hastings say its future is now brighter than ever thanks to a raft of new tourism initiatives in the region.

Park Holidays UK reports that enquiries from would-be holiday home owners have increased after the national spotlight was put upon a series of upcoming visitor attractions.

They include the re-opening of Hastings pier this May, a line-up of special events, the new Jerwood art gallery, and the launch of the world’s largest underground skate and BMX park.

Set in 250 acres of woodland with picture-postcard views across the Sussex countryside, Beauport has long been a favourite of families wanting to own a second home on the coast.

Now, say Park Holidays UK, existing holiday home owners are helping to generate many new sales enquiries by pointing out the area’s growing appeal as a holiday destination.

But despite the rise in demand, the company – which owns 25 holiday parks in Southern England – says it will not be seeking to increase the price of its holiday homes.

It’s still possible, they say, to own a fully equipped and furnished caravan holiday home from just £14, 995 – and to enjoy stays at the park over 50 weeks of the year.

They are even offering this Easter a series of buying incentives including free pitch fees throughout 2016, and a £1,000 contribution to energy and water costs in the first year.

The vast majority of owners benefit from private parking for at least one car next to their holiday home, and a 24-hour warden call service adds an additional dimension of security.

With many holiday home owners living in Sussex and so able to enjoy frequent stays on the park, says the company, a great community atmosphere exists at Beauport.

The sense of neighbourliness is also heightened by owners often meeting regularly at the park’s various attractions and facilities which include a heated lido pool and sunbathing areas.

There’s also a Country Club where professional cabarets are often staged at weekends, children’s play areas, and acres of beautiful wildlife-rich grounds to explore.

And now, says Park Holidays UK director Tony Clish, owners have the bonus of additional attractions, such as the refurbished Hastings pier, being made available on their doorstep:

“We’ve noticed a steady growth of this area as a holiday hot-spot, and I think that Sussex could soon be giving our Devon holiday parks a run for their money,” said Tony.

Beauport Holiday Park is especially appealing to those who decide that this part of the Sussex coast is where they would most like to own a holiday home.

“It combines lush countryside with seaside fun and lots of fascinating places to visit – plus holiday home prices at just a fraction of what a holiday cottage would cost.

“We have invested considerably in Beauport in recent years in order to create a first-class holiday environment, and we’re delighted that this area is matching our efforts!” he added.
