At Billing Aquadrome, caring for wildlife is part of everyday life. Nestled in the heart of Northamptonshire, the park has become a thriving haven for birds, mammals and native species, thanks to the dedication of the Meadow Bay Villages team and the exceptional work of Jeff, a volunteer wildlife expert and former RSPCA officer. For more than 12 years, Jeff has rescued, rehabilitated and supported animals onsite, from hatching waterfowl to treating injured birds.

Since taking over the park and investing £17 million in improvements, Meadow Bay Villages has ensured this vital conservation work continues to flourish. The park has successfully reintroduced hedgehogs, while wildlife sightings now include otters, minks, red kites and polecats, all signs of a healthy, thriving ecosystem.

Looking ahead, Billing Aquadrome plans to expand educational activities during school holidays, helping families and young visitors learn about nature and conservation in hands-on, engaging ways. By backing volunteer expertise and dedicating resources to wildlife wellbeing, the park is supporting a landscape where nature and people can flourish together.

This is part of the #ParksMakePlaces campaign, showcasing how holiday parks support people, places and the planet.
