Kendal Caravans Golf Day Raises More than £3,000 for Children’s Charity

A charity golf day sponsored by Kendal Caravans has raised more than £3,000 to help provide free holidays for children living with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Held at Carus Green Golf Club in Kendal, the popular fundraising event generated an impressive £3,175 for Donna’s Dream House, a Blackpool charity that offers much-needed breaks for seriously ill children and teenagers.
Charity Golf day Proves a Huge Success
Golfers from across the region came together to support the fundraising event, with more than 40 players taking part throughout the day. The event was sponsored by Kendal Caravans to raise vital funds for Donna’s Dream House, which will use the donation to provide fully funded holidays for children and their families in Blackpool.
Community Support Helps Raise £3,175
Family-owned Kendal Caravans, headquartered in Selside near Kendal with a branch in Blackpool, is one of the largest holiday home distributors in Northern England. The charity golf day was organised by longstanding Kendal Caravans customers Chris and Sarah Taylor from Blackpool, with support from Vanda and Andrew Richardson of AR Golf Events.
The event received backing from a wide range of businesses across Cumbria and Blackpool, helping make the day another fundraising success.
Fantastic Prizes Attract Plenty of Interest
One of the day’s biggest attractions was the chance to win a top-of-the-range Swift Sprite touring caravan for anyone scoring a hole-in-one. Although several players came close, the prize remained unclaimed and returned to Kendal Caravans.
Visitors also had the opportunity to see a state-of-the-art Swift Carrera 184 campervan, which attracted plenty of attention throughout the event.
Supporting Charities and Local Communities
Kendal Caravans Managing Director Mark Molyneaux thanked everyone who helped make the day such a success, including the golfers, organisers, supporting businesses and the company’s Blackpool Dealer Principal Phil Tabiner, who co-ordinated the event. Mark is also well known for his own charitable fundraising efforts and has completed a number of sponsored long-distance cycling events in Cumbria and overseas.
