How Paignton holiday parks are putting on the glitz

Glamorous look-out: there’s plenty to pamper discerning guests in the parks’ new top-end holiday homes

Glamping now has a glitzy new neighbour at two top-rated Devon holiday parks: it’s called “glaravanning” – and is taking luxury living on holiday to a whole new level of indulgence.

The super-stylish caravan holiday homes were unveiled this month at Beverley Holidays and Whitehill Country Park, both in Paignton at the heart of the English Riviera.

They represent a cool £1 million investment by the family-owned business in a new era of accommodation for guests seeking seaside holidays with a sprinkling of glamour.

High quality furnishings and decor in the holiday homes are teamed with a raft of pampering extras such as bubbling hot-tubs and private sun-decks.

The “glaravans” also come equipped with up-to-the-minute entertainment and sound technology including Wii consoles and iPod docking stations.

With demand for staycations with a difference on the rise, the two sister holiday parks say their new top-drawer holiday homes are already taking bookings for spring and summer breaks.

Beverley Holidays marketing director Claire Jeavons said that the “glaravans” are further extending the range of staying options which guests are offered:

“Long gone are the days when families were expected to be content with a one-size-fits-all type of holiday accommodation,” she commented.

“Today we reach out to guests wanting to enjoy a whole range of different experiences, from camping and touring to glamping in a luxury pod or hiring a traditional holiday caravan or lodge.

“Now we’ve raised the bar even higher at the luxury end of holiday home rentals by making a substantial investment in these gorgeous new units.

“There’s never before been as many ways to make a stay on the English Riviera so memorable!” added Claire.
