There were cheers from staff and holiday guests at New Beach Holiday Park in Dymchurch this spring as a major redevelopment project received its official launch.

In front of VIP guests, the Mayor of New Romney Council, Cllr Peter Coe, took the ceremonial scissors and cut the ribbon the park’s new clubhouse complex.

The building is part of a £4 million investment made by owners Park Holidays UK to provide New Beach with facilities which, it says, are “wholly unrivalled” in South East England.

Pride of place in the project, which was completed over the winter period, is the purpose-built complex where families can eat, drink, relax and be entertained.

The building has been equipped with the latest showbiz technology, including a high-tech lighting and sound system, enabling New Beach to stage West End standard live shows.

Park Holidays UK has also equipped the complex’s arcade area with world-class video and electronic gaming systems suitable for both children and grown-ups.

But the complex isn’t just about fun, for it also features New Beach’s sleek new reception area where families will check in and can be helped by staff to enjoy their stay.

There’s also a complex bar with super-size TV screens, a restaurant serving meals throughout the day and evening, a mini-supermarket, and a sales administration centre.

Also just opened on the park is a new development of leisure homes, ranging from starter caravan holiday homes at around £15,995.00 to fully specified luxury lodges.

According to Park Holidays UK director Tony Clish, the decision to invest substantially in New Beach is a reflection of the company’s confidence in the park’s future:

“New Beach has long been one of the most popular of our twenty-eight parks, and we are determined to ensure it continues offering guests the best possible experience,” he said.

“The park is open for fifty weeks of the year for leisure home owners, so there’s always a great holiday atmosphere and plenty of indoor activities such as a swimming pool.

“Park Holidays UK is especially well known for the quality of our free entertainment, and we spend literally millions each year securing first-class acts.

“Now at New Beach we have a great venue in which to welcome performers and our guests.

“I am confident that our investment will help attract even more visitors in the future, and this will also benefit the many other businesses in this part of Kent which depend on tourism.

“We’re immensely proud of this new project – and give a big thank-you to our staff for their role in helping to make New Beach such a great holiday centre,” said Tony.
