Wales Holiday Park wins Loo of the Year award 2025
Four family-owned holiday parks in Wales and Worcestershire have been named as top Diamond winners in the latest round of the Loo of the Year award 2025.
The prestigious accolades were made to Hillandale Caravan Parks after the shower, washroom and toilet facilities provided for guests were “mystery shopped” by inspectors.
And for one of the parks, Riverbend Caravan Park in Llangadfan, Powys, there was an additional chain of honour from the Loo of the Year organisers.
That’s because the park’s managers Lindsey and Angie Price and its warden Paul Whyatt were declared winners of the National Cleaning Team title.
Award Winning Loos
Charles Lloyd Jones, director of the 70-year-old family business, said the news of the accolades are “fantastic and well-earned recognition for our team” as this year’s holiday season gets into gear.
“Guests at our parks often make mention of our first-class washroom facilities in the reviews they leave online, praising their spotless condition and well-designed layout,” he said.
“We have always believed that families and couples who stay with us for camping holidays, or who bring their touring caravan or motorhome, deserve the very best.
“Maintaining our washroom facilities in tip-top condition is down to our hard working teams, so they deserve all the credit for these awards.
Flushed with delight
“We are especially delighted that Lindsey, Angie and Paul at Riverbend Caravan Park were singled out as England and Wales’s winning cleaning team by the Loo of the Year Award 2025 judges.
“Like all our team members, they do an amazing job in looking after guests and ensuring that they enjoy the best experience possible during their stay,” said Charles.
Hillandale’s Loo of the Year awards, however, are not just a flash in the pan – for their parks also boast a raft of other national and regional quality accolades.
They include the David Bellamy Conservation Award for the wide range of initiatives taken by the parks to safeguard the natural environment and protect wildlife.
In addition to Riverbend Caravan Park, Loo of the Year diamond awards were presented to three other members of Hillandale’s eight-strong parks group.
They are Borders Hideaway Holiday Home Park on the Welsh borders near Hay-on-Wye, Lickhill Manor Caravan Park near Stourport-on-Severn, and Hay-on-Wye Caravan Park.
Staying options at the parks include holiday caravans, shepherds huts and touring pitches, plus opportunities to become an owner of a holiday caravan or lodge.
