Holiday Parks see September soaring as families say “more, please!”

Park Holidays UK see booking surge
Bright outlook for families as holiday parks gear up for a soaring September

September is shaping up as an extra August this year – but without the high season prices, according to major leisure group Park Holidays UK.

It says that the traditionally quieter autumn month will see its 28 holiday parks still firing on all cylinders as guests continue to get their revenge on spring’s lockdown.

A significant number of September’s bookings, reports the group, are being received from families taking their second – or even third – pop at a seaside get-away this year.

“Many people enjoyed their first taste of a well-deserved break with us when our parks re-opened in early July,” said Park Holidays UK director Tony Clish.

UK Holiday Park Staycation’s Surge

“But that clearly wasn’t enough for a lot of our guests, and they are now re-booking for September and beyond, and taking advantage of the lower off-peak prices.

“On top of this, we also received a surge of bookings in mid-August when it was announced that people returning from France would have to self-isolate

“The upshot is that our parks will be partying-on next month in a summer atmosphere, and it’s likely that this could also carry through to October,” said Tony.

Luxury Lodges proving popular

Especially popular this summer, says the group, are luxury lodge holidays with a host of pampering features as well as generous extra living space and private exterior decking.

Also much in demand, especially among younger families, are the camping pods available at many of the group’s parks which can sleep two adults and two children.

Youngsters, says Park Holidays UK, love the experience – especially the fun bunkbeds – while the value prices mean grown-ups won’t have to dig too deeply into their holiday budget.

A two-night camping pod break in September can be enjoyed from just £60.00.

However, says the company, available accommodation is becoming increasingly limited, and the earlier the booking is made, the greater the choice of dates and other options.

Guest safety is paramount

All swimming pools are now open with safety procedures in place, and Park Holidays UK reports that guests are adapting happily to social distancing and other protective measures.

Guests also have the assurance that they will be able to postpone their holiday without cost, or receive their money back, if their stay has to be cancelled for a number of reasons.

These include parks having to close by government order, travel restrictions imposed in specific areas, or if a party member is required to self-isolate or is showing symptoms of the virus.
