There’s a new name in Hampshire for lovers of get-away-from-it-all holidays, despite the family-run park having already welcomed thousands of visitors. The business previously known as Two Hoots Glamping Site near Winchester will now be known as ‘Hampshire Hills‘ when it re-opens for the 2026 season.

A New Identity for Hampshire Glamping

Owners Shaun Ascough and his wife Michele say the rebrand is the culmination of five years of work to position the park as one of the region’s leading destinations for peaceful countryside escapes.

Hampshire Hills was a hideaway camping site when the couple acquired it in 2021, but they have since invested significant funds, time and energy into transforming the park.

Their reward has been year-on-year growth in visitor numbers together with a series of tourism awards recognising the park’s high quality standards. Among its recent accolades is the title of ‘Best Adult Only Site in South East England’ in the Camping and Glamping Awards, based on a public vote.

New Accommodation and Future Investment

“Hampshire Hills is a very different park to what it once was, and will now also offer a wide range of holiday retreats in nature for guests to book a short-stay holiday or to buy a holiday home,” said Shaun.

“That’s why decided to highlight the change by giving the park a new name, and one that references our location in the heart of beautiful Hampshire countryside.

“This has been an incredibly exciting journey for us, but it’s not over yet because we’re planning to continue to invest significantly in the park and will soon introduce some amazing new retreats.

“I believe our retreats will appeal especially to the many busy residents of London and its suburbs who crave opportunities to unplug in nature without having to travel too far from London.

“Here we’re offering them a deep immersion in nature at our tranquil hilltop park with its panoramic countryside views towards The South Downs National Park and with a host wildlife to enjoy.

“Over the last two years, Michele and I have been told by guests that they share a love of the natural world and delight in Hampshire Hills’ raft of wildlife, including our lavender guinea fowl and the pheasants, red kites and barn owls,” added Shaun.

Wildlife and Luxury Countryside Retreats

As part of the park’s continuing development, Shaun and Michele have created extensive areas of wildgrass meadow to encourage local wildlife.

Holiday accommodation now includes Ubuntu the park’s first two-bedroom safari styled retreat featuring undercover decks, a master bedroom with a four-poster bed, an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a wood burner, plus a wood-fired hot tub.

Looking Ahead to the Future

“A change of name is always a radical move,” said Shaun, “But we’re encouraged that our 75-year-old trade body, the Holiday and Residential Park Association did exactly that this year.

“We may not have been in existence for as long as HARPA, as it’s now known, but we’re just as proud of our past and looking forward to a great future!” said Shaun.

Hampshire Hills is a member of the exclusive Tranquil Parks consortium. More information about the park and its accommodation can be found on its updated website.
