Staff at a multi-award winning Devon holiday park have now scooped their own glittering accolade – and it’s been presented to them for outstanding customer service.

The team at Beverley Holidays in Paignton took the top gold spot in the Excellence In Customer Service category of the Herald Express South Devon Business Awards 2017.

Overcoming tough competition from a record number of entries, Beverley’s team was congratulated at the sparkling award finals at the Riviera International Conference Centre.

Judges commended the park’s commitment to continually improving customer service via a comprehensive customer care policy and company-wide service training initiative.

Director of Beverley Holidays, Nicola Furneaux, said the award gave thoroughly deserved recognition to the park’s loyal and hard-working staff:

“Providing our guests with exceptional levels of customer service coupled with high-quality holiday accommodation is at the heart of Beverley Holidays’ ethos,” she said.

“All our team members are enrolled in a carefully structured customer service training scheme called ‘The Beverley Road To Excellence’ which encourages personal development.

“It benefits both our guests, and the staff themselves by equipping them with new skills to help drive their careers forward.

“We have also invested heavily in our accommodation and facilities in 2017 to ensure we offer the best possible holiday experience,” added Nicola.

Almost a million pounds has this year been spent on a fleet of state-of-the-art fleet of “glaravans” at Beverley, many with their very own private bubbling hot tubs.

The park’s Jetty Lounge, Bar & Terrace was treated to a six-figure makeover, transforming it into a stylish new space for eating, drinking and relaxation with panoramic sea views.

Beverley‘s reception area also received to a revamp courtesy of local design agency Fruition, and a new entertainment programme will welcome a galaxy of screen and stage stars this season.

Guests can now also vote via postcards for their own “customer service superstar” by highlighting team members who go the extra mile to make their stay more memorable.
