£60,000 East Yorkshire holiday caravan for winning couple
There were celebrations this month for a Yorkshire couple and their young daughter after they were named as the winners of a brand new East Yorkshire holiday caravan.
Anna and Seif Karabi beat thousands of other entries in a national draw to win the keys to a fully equipped leisure home at Sand Le Mere Holiday Park in East Yorkshire.
The draw was organised by park owners Park Holidays UK, and the family was able to take their choice from among the group’s top-rated parks as the base for their prize.
They opted for Sand Le Mere because of its superb location overlooking Tunstall beach near Bridlington, and what they describe as the “absolutely amazing” facilities on offer.
Dream East Yorkshire holiday location
Anna and Seif, who live less than an hour’s drive away in Cottingham, say its is also the dream park for keeping their three-year-daughter Tasneem entertained.
Now the family can look forward to taking breaks throughout the 11.5 months of the year at their East Yorkshire holiday caravan when the park is open, and to share their experiences with family and friends.
Their prize is a high-specification ABI Arizona holiday home sleeping up to six, and featuring all mod-cons including a family bathroom, fitted kitchen, double glazing and central heating.
A luxury finishing touch to the prize included a top quality full wrap-around decking from DekBoard, built and installed by Greenshield.
Holiday homes at Sand Le Mere start from under £20,000 – but the couple’s highly-specified prize would be more likely to have a price-tag of around £60,000.
Sand le Mere holiday development
At Sand Le Mere, Anna and Seif’s holiday home is part of a new development on the park which puts all its many facilities and attractions within easy reach.
A newly refurbished leisure complex provides an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, sensory room, restaurant, bar, arcade, activity area and a huge entertainment venue.
There’s also a host of family-friendly activities outdoors, including adventure playgrounds.
The range of attractions came as no surprise to the couple as they had enjoyed a family holiday last year at Park Holidays UK’s Steeple Bay Holiday Park near Southminster on the Essex coast.
“We loved what was on offer at Steeple Bay, including the fantastic entertainment each night, and were planning to buy a holiday home of our own,” said Anna.
“When the news came through that we had actually won this prize, I couldn’t believe it at first – and then when it sunk in, we realised what an amazing difference it would make to our lives.

“It will bring us even more closely together as a family, and we’re really keen to share some of our time here with other family members and close friends.
“And what I’m specially looking forward to is staying at the park in the quieter months, including winter, and exploring the coast and the nearby towns and villages.
“With the central heating and insulation it’s going to be very cosy, and I’m even excited about hearing the rain coming down while we’re all snuggled up!” added Anna.
But, she said, there’s also another member of the family who will be lapping up the prize – and it’s the family’s labrador Smokie who now has some amazing walks in prospect!
