Weir Holiday Park is set on an inland island in the River Derwent in the historic village of Stamford Bridge – just 7 miles from the City of York. The stunning surroundings provide a haven for wildlife and visitors alike. The owners – David and Christine Hind – are passionate about encouraging wildlife and natural flora and fauna within the Holiday Park and the Park has been awarded a David Bellamy Gold Award for protecting and enhancing the natural world and is certified as Honey Bee Friendly.
Weir Holiday Park was also shortlisted for Welcome to Yorkshire’s White Rose Awards and won a Yorkshire In Bloom award.
There is space for 25 touring caravans and motorhomes – with some seasonal pitches available in a private area; and the Park has fully serviced holiday homes with riverside locations available. There is also a private lake for fishing. The site has a launderette, toilets and showers and children’s play area. Pets are welcome.
