Introduction From The Holiday Park

Fernwood is a picturesque, family-run, fifty-acre Park located near the Welsh border in a lovely area known as the Shropshire Lake District near the villages of Lyneal and Colemere. The market towns of Ellesmere and Wem are a short drive away and the Shropshire Union Canal is only a few minutes walk away.

The Park itself, with its floral landscaping, the setting and attention to detail, all of a very high standard, with planted and natural vegetation blending harmoniously, is a real oasis of calm and rural tranquillity.

Within the Park are forty-one acres of mature woodland - which are ideal for viewing wildlife, nature walks, bird-watching or just taking a leisurely stroll. A course fishing lake, which is well stocked but not a fishery, and five hundred metre length on the canal is offered for the enjoyment of visitors and ensures that Fernwood is a relaxing place to be.

The Park caters for Holiday Homes, with a separate area for touring caravans, all with electric hook-ups, with generous spacing. There is a modern heated toilet and shower block with accessible facilities. Launderette with coin-operated washing, drying and ironing facilities. Calor Gas and a range of ice creams available at the Park Office. A grass play area, with swings, climbing frame and slide is provided for young children.

Holiday Homes are available for purchase at Fernwood. Two fully equipped holiday homes are also available for hire.

Directions To The Park

A495 from Ellesmere or Whitchurch. In Welshampton turn onto B5063, over canal bridge, turn right signed Fernwood.
